Me
This is my digital social presence that say’s “Hello. I’m in the word”. My Name is Nick Kempinski and I’m a renaissance man in a specialists world. As simply as I can put it, I like to create, think & share.
What I do in those categories is always a surprise to me. But, with some professional help, I’m learning to trust it.
Web Designer & Programmer – I can get things on the web: make them work and, make them look good to boot. With a little extra time, I can even conform to standards. Some site’s I’ve done include, this one, livemoreadventures.com, vamcdonald.com and chris.kempinski.ca.
Musician – I can play instruments and, even write a tune here and there. Primarily I play the baritone saxophone, and you can hear the likes of me in such Vancouver bands as The Blue Morris 6 & The Ginteels
Student – I’m a full-time student at BCIT in their Radio Broadcast program. You can take a listen to what we are doing at Evolution 107.9.
Writer – I can put to words together and, yes even a sentence – although my style is a little more poetic and free. I’ve got a book of poems I publish from time to time, and if you contact me, you too can buy your very own copy
Thinker – I can come up with thoughts and, with time, I can articulate them (see writer). Topics I know set me off, are organizational behaviour, personal development, leadership. I write what comes to me and always think it’s a great thought at the time.

The Site
This site is possible becuase of Wordpress. It takes all the effort out. Instead of having to write the code myself, there is an entire group of people who seem to build the app just for me.
Like most of us wordpress users, there is a MySQL database in behind the scenes holding the data tightly and handing it out when you want it.
For my RSS and syndication needs, I choose Feedburner. For stats analytics
And non of it would be possible if it were for the amazing Dreamhost. Not only are they green, but they are also award savvy.
