Dirty Thirties

Take a trip back to the pre-war era, when times were tough and the broadsides were a penny; pulp fiction reigned and swing music bellowed from the speakeasies. It may have been the height of the Depression, but there was always money for the latest in print and a little entertainment. Scrounge up a sawbuck and come out to support local writers and BC Book & Magazine Week.

I love todays horoscope. Especially the part about the poetry - "Other people may be blabbing away at you today, but you really cannot quite understand what they are saying. The more you attempt to get to the core of the message, the more elusive it becomes. Instead of trying to force anyone to be more specific, just pretend you are listening to poetry and focus on how it makes you feel. Save the details for another day."
