My Week on the Internet
With the help of del.icio.us here are some things I’ve found in and around the internet:

Did you notice Google Transit has Vancouver on their list? Translink had a press release back in November. I would think there would be more fan fare for something like that. But I didn’t hear a peep on it. Stumbled on it through the translink site. It’s pretty handy and accurate. Check it out.
When I feel the pressure building up I get tunnel vision. I kick into gear and focus on one task at a time. But the longer I have that kind of focus, the more I loose the grand picture. “Why am I doing … ?”, “What’s the point in … ?” You get the idea.
But last week, while scrounging for pennies and food money, a friend reminded me that eggs and potatoes are cheap. Yes they are!
I brought home the groceries and then made some hash browns and poached eggs. I love hash browns and poached eggs!
The minute I sat down with my plate and cut into the eggs, the yellow yokes all runny tasty good. I smiled and for a moment the blinders lifted. The tunnel vision went away and I had a reprieve. I took a big breath. Who knew something so simple could be so powerful for stress relief?
So, do you need a good poached egg? Is there something you might be over looking? A simple pleasure, a simple act, a simple thing that you might be overlooking that could make all the difference?
It’s that time of year when we have the spring solstice. A tradition I started a long time ago was to read the story of Jumping Mouse. It was told to me by an Ojibwa teacher who said it had all the lessons of spring. It’s a reminder that we can start again and some of the challenges and pit falls that can come along the way. If you get a moment, enjoy.
I’ve been mulling about a re-design for sometime. And rather then re-invent a new layout, I decided to look around for one that already exists. There are a lot of talented designers floating around that I think did a better job then I could. Lot’s of other talented designers. So thanks to 5thirtyone.com - you made a good site.
A few things in the design will force me to try and re-organize my categories. Over time, they’ve become a bit jumbled, and the handy archive button in the navigation shows some of the goop that I’ve tried. I’ve got a few years of clean up.
